Description
The Zinus Van is a minimalist steel platform bed frame designed for a standard UK double mattress measuring 135 × 190 cm. Its tall metal base creates substantial usable storage space underneath without adding drawers or a lift mechanism.
Built around a standard UK double mattress
The Amazon UK double model is approximately 189.2 cm long, 135.9 cm wide and 40.6 cm high. The mattress sits directly on the steel slat system, so a box spring is not required.
Useful under-bed clearance
The manufacturer highlights the raised steel platform as a practical storage solution. Check the height of any boxes you plan to store underneath rather than assuming the full frame height is available as clearance.
All-steel construction
The Van uses a steel frame and steel slats rather than timber slats or an upholstered surround. That keeps the design visually simple and makes it a very different option from the upholstered and ottoman beds already in the Manor Furniture catalogue.
Measure the outer frame, not just the mattress
The 135 × 190 cm figure describes the mattress size. Allow for the approximately 135.9 × 189.2 cm outer frame and enough surrounding space to make the bed and access anything stored beneath it.
