Check the sitting space as well as the wall space
Use the complete outside width for your room plan, then compare seat depth and seat height with a seat you already find comfortable. Two-seater labels do not establish equal usable space or cushion comfort. Mark the full depth on the floor and check the route past the sofa and any nearby table.
Our compact two-seater sofa guide separates wall fit, seat fit and room fit, with another catalogue format to compare. This is a fixed sofa; if sleeping space is part of the brief, use the separate sofa-bed planning guide.
