Test the backrest movement before choosing the position
Check the supplied instructions for rear clearance and conversion steps. Do not assume the backrest can lower while the sofa is pushed against the wall. Mark both the sitting and bed configurations, then check where the coffee table will go overnight.
The three-seater label describes seating, not sleeping capacity. Compare the intended sleeper’s needs with the usable sleeping surface and ask the retailer when a dimension is unclear. Our sofa-bed size guide gives a visual checklist for the closed footprint, opening movement and sleeping surface.
